The Western Kansas Human Resource Management Association (WKHRMA) is hosting its second annual employment seminar in southwest Kansas, “Preventing and Solving Workplace Conflicts” on Aug. 25, 2010.

Chapter recently visits Washington, D.C.

Several area chapter leaders of the Society for Human Resource Management recently went to the SHRM National Conference in Washington, D.C. Several members from Kansas visited Senator Brownback's office after they spoke with his legislative representative about Health Care Reform and Workplace Flexibility.
Kansas State SHRM Conference Recognizes Outstanding Achievement
Thu, 01 Oct 2009 01:00:00 CST - Each year at the Kansas State SHRM Conference the State Council recognizes outstanding achievement in the field of human resource management and community leadership. The George Trombold Achievement Award is presented annually to an individual who exemplifies the highest standards of the profession by promoting and contributing to the transformation of the HR profession in their business organization and in their community. This year’s recipient of the 2009 George Trombold Achievement Award was Linda Miller SPHR, Office/HR Manager for Flame Engineering Inc, of LaCrosse, KS. The award was received by her at the 2009 Kansas State SHRM Conference held in Topeka, KS on September 25, 2009. Linda is the VP of Membership for the Western Kansas Human Resource Management Association (WKHRMA) and Director of Membership for the Kansas State Council of SHRM. She has been in the HR profession for 25 years, is a member of National Society of Human Resource Management and holds Senior Professional of Human Resource certification with the Human Resource Institute of Certification.
